Dr. Simone Cortellini graduated as a dentist in 2014 at the Radboud University of
Nijmegen in Holland. In 2015 he joined part-time a postgraduate program in
periodontology and oral implantology at the Catholic University (KU) of Leuven. In
2020 he graduated as an 'EFP certified' periodontist (MSc) . Aside from his
clinical work in private practice (The Hague, NL and Florence, IT) he is a PhD
researcher. The topic of his research is the application of autologous blood
derivates for bone regeneration. He is a member of the Dutch Society of
Periodontology (NVvP), European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and
European Association for Osseointegration (EAO). He is an author of several
scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks chapters. He
lectures on a national and international level in the field of periodontology and
implantology. In 2018 and 2019, he received the EAO “European Prize for
Clinical Innovations in Implant Dentistry” during the EAO-meetings.
